Nanaimo, BC – Back with a renewed mindset this spring, Vancouver Island Market is bringing together over 100 of your favourite local growers, bakers, and makers (and yes, maybe a couple distillers) under one roof this April. The free event will take place primarily inside the main walkways of Nanaimo North Town Centre, which is where VIM held its first event.
VIM will be bringing many of your favourite local sellers back, as well as the addition of outdoor vendors such as Yellow Point Farms, Salt Spring Island Sea Salt, Sip and Sliders Food Truck, and Haute Wheels Mobile Boutique. Additionally, look out for events such as demonstrations from our local makers, sample tasting, local giveaways, and a cribbage tournament!
Local non-profit organizations, Nanaimo Search and Rescue and the Island Good brand will also be in attendance. At their last Winter Market, VIM donated proceeds from admission towards Nanaimo Search and Rescue’s Team of volunteers, money that will help them purchase equipment necessary to their search and rescue efforts throughout greater Nanaimo and across Vancouver Island.
The 2020 Spring Market will be a two-day event held on Friday, April 10 from 11am- 5pm and Saturday, April 11 from 10am-6pm. Hope to see you there!
