Vintage Christmas Sweater Sale

Vintage Christmas Sweaters

Felt Love at VIM...

Our friends at Life is Precious will be donating 25% of their vintage Christmas sweater sales to Loaves & Fishes Community Food Bank!

Rock that Santa Christmas sweater and be a part of a good cause 🥰. He will be stationed in the northwest corner of the building named the "Port Alberni" area along with the other offerings he will have available at the market. You can find all sorts of vintage ugly sweaters for both kids and adults to make your holiday pictures extra special!

They also make a unique eco-friendly gift for anyone who loves the holidays since they get to wear it year after year. Nothing says statement piece like a vintage Santa or Rudolf sweater from the '80s and '90s for your next Christmas party. Did you know ugly Christmas sweaters at first became popular in the mid 50's because of the mass commercialization of Christmas and they were never intended to be "ugly"?

The first ugly Christmas party was launched in Vancouver, BC by Chris Boyd and Jordan Birch in 2002, and after that, they became the "it" event of every holiday season. Now many big fashion houses have designed their own haute couture version of the traditional ugly Christmas sweater, but in our opinion, nothing can replace the thrifted or inherited ones.

So, don't forget to get your vintage ugly sweater ready for National Ugly Sweater Day on December 17th!

Come and check out their selection and support Loaves & Fishes Community Food Bank at VIMter market from Dec. 2-5 at Nanaimo North Town Centre (Inside the Old Sears Building).

Life Is Precious is located in Port Alberni #40. They'll be part of the market from Dec 2-5, 2021. You can download the Winter 2021 Shop Local Map here.
