Yesterday, I posted a FAQ zoom video with Mariko about getting on a collective site featuring all handmade and local vendors of Vancouver Island.
The key take-away you’ll want to remember as a vendor is that:
- You don’t pay any vendor fees unless something sells on the site
- Isla Collective takes care of your customers on your behalf – you focus on making and shipping the purchased product
- This is complementary to your own web space (if you have one) and/or extremely convenient way to learn for the first time on how to get items online
There are many more pros to getting yourself on Isla as a vendor and I love that Mariko has been extremely patient and kind during the past months to not only on board VIM vendors but to be even more focused now to help support small businesses during this unprecedented time.
What: Christmas in July Online Market
When: July 24 – 26, 2020 11am-10pm PST
Hosts: Mei Dunlop and Mariko Brown
This is our first virtual event and we are keeping our numbers small to help manage the influx of vendors applying at Isla Collective and to focus our efforts in running this online shop. For those of you who are interested in applying, I’ve attached an invite sent to Isla Collective vendors for you to connect with Mariko further.
As a shopper, there will be a giveaway happening during the scheduled event dates so please keep an eye out on up-coming posts, join our event group here and begin your handmade Christmas wish list today!
