Were you at our Mother’s Day Market last year? If so, did you remember our Flash Mob dancers from Casa Loca Fitness Studio of Nanaimo?
We know it’s a weird time and not being able to connect on Mother’s Day like this can be hard. But we also know how important it is to keep everyone safe and physical distancing is the best we can do for our Grandma’s, our Mother’s who are immunocompromised and our Mom-to-be out there this Mother’s Day.
Currently, you’ll find many of our vendors hopping online or have items at places like Islandish or a new store at Nanaimo North Town called Cultured Coast where you can order online and do porch-side/ curb-side type pick up. A few of our vendors who would like to start selling online risk free have hopped on our partner site Isla Collective to place a few of their items online while they adjust to new ways of selling their goods.
The world is cautiously opening up and while we are far from being back-to-normal, let’s take the time to honour our present day with those around us as well as honour ourselves to the best of our ability. Because we can’t change the past or go back in time, but we can certainly focus on what’s going right today and everyday from this moment on.
